Provide a brief history of your work experience, beginning with your present position

I have broad experience with various departments at UC Merced after having worked my way up from Administrative Assistant at UC San Francisco. My current position is Associate Director in the Financial Management & Controls unit in Business & Financial Services. In this role, I manage financial system access, tax services, the Financial Management Certification Program (FMCP), and the monitoring of financial transactions for adherence to policies, laws, and regulations. My previous positions at UC Merced include Associate Registrar, Assistant Director of Student Business Services, and Benefits Manager.

Committee and service membership at UC Merced includes:
- UC Merced Course and Miscellaneous Fee Committee (2011-present);
- UC Merced Location Representative for UC Business Officer Institute (2013-present);
- UC Merced Information, Privacy, and Security Committee (2014-present);
- UC Merced Disclosure Statement and Rate Proposal Workgroup (2012-2014);
- Student Affairs Assessment Team (2011-2012)

In the past year, how have you played an active role in Staff Assembly? This can include committee work, participating in events, or attendance at Executive Board meetings:

This past year, I am participating as a staff assembly representative on the Training & Development Committee. In addition, I nominated a deserving staff member for a Staff Excellence Award this year and participate in Executive Board meetings as I can. And of course I participate in Staff Appreciation Week activities each year.
