Staff Assembly External Advisory Council

The Staff Assembly Board seeks to ensure that funding provided through the generous MacKenzie Scott and Dan Jewett Gift Award are utilized for transformative programming that closely align with the campus’ Strategic Plan. The formation and purpose of the Staff Assembly External Advisory Council (SAEAC) is to provide advice and council on suggested programs presented to and from Staff Assembly to ensure efficient usage of funds pursuant to the gift agreement and inclusive of all staff. Members of the external advisory council represent different areas across the campus, bringing expertise in their field and experience in their role as a staff at UC Merced.

SAEAC is a non-voting organization affiliated with UC Merced Staff Assembly. All recommendations will be considered as part of any vote by Staff Assembly Board Members. This advisory council would meet quarterly with the staff assembly executive board to provide feedback on program proposals, with informal feedback requested more frequently via email or other communication.

  • Human Resources
  • Division of Equity, Justice, and Inclusive Excellence
  • Division of Finance and Administration
  • Former Staff Assembly Board Member
  • Staff Supervisor/Manager
  • Non-Represented Staff at large
