Dear UC Merced Staff,
On behalf of the Staff Assembly Executive Board, we are excited and proud to announce that we have been honored with a commitment of 1 million dollars in funding to support Staff Assembly in creating transformative programs that align with the new campus strategic plan!
We want to graciously thank Chancellor Munoz for this gift. Chancellor Munoz has been a strong advocate for staff and has enthusiastically supported Staff Assembly since first joining the campus, and we acknowledge the great efforts and support he has provided to make such a gift possible. Thank you Chancellor Munoz! We also wish to thank the donors, MacKenzie Scott and Dan Jewett, for the larger gift that made this possible.
Our board is diligently working together to create a strategic plan for utilizing these funds in a transformative way and we look forward to sharing that information soon. It is our goal to create opportunities for all staff to share feedback about what they would like to see from Staff Assembly, and structure oversight and advisory groups to guide Staff Assembly as we navigate forward.
With Appreciation,

Austyn Smith Jones - Vice President
Yesenia Curiel - Past President
Molly Elazier - Secretary
