Staff Assembly Events

Staff Appreciation Week

With support from the Office of the Chancellor and Human Resources, Staff Assembly sponsors the annual Staff Appreciation Week. Past events have included an ice cream social, the staff tournament games, balloon pop-raffle, and more. The last event of appreciation week is the "All Staff Picnic," which offers an opportunity to be in the company of friends and colleagues in an informal, relaxed atmosphere.

Bobcat Bites

Staff Assembly wants to reunite with our staff. Join your colleagues and us once a month with coffee and breakfast. Locations will be different location each month.

Themed Thursdays

Please join us in participating in our Themed Thursdays events. These events will happen on the third Thursday of each month. We will send out communications on how to submit your photos.

Staff Recognition

Staff Assembly recognizes exceptional staff contributions with the annual Staff Excellence Awards. These awards are presented at the annual Staff Convocation.

Staff Assembly Meetings

All members are invited to attend general membership meetings, held monthly on the third Thursday from 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M.  Click here to register for upcoming meetings.

Town Hall Meetings

An opportunity for staff and faculty to receive important updates and to directly engage with the chancellor and administrators about topics of interest to our campus. Topics submitted by the staff and faculty either online or via comment cards at the event.

Community Service Activities

Reaching out to the community is an important goal of the Staff Assembly. Past activities have included the canned food drive and Cat Closet (gently used clothing sale).

Networking and Public Service Series

The Networking and Public Service series consists of three networking and public service events held during the academic year and an annual staff service award recognition ceremony. The networking events will provide a venue where staff can come together to socialize and network. They will be held in multiple locations -- on campus, at The Promenade, at Mondo Building, and at Castle Commerce Center. In addition to networking during these events, participants will have an opportunity to contribute to or volunteer for public service projects that support UC Merced's mission of public service. The networking and public service event, for example, would incorporate a canned food, toy drive, clothing drive, or another similar charitable cause similar to giving events held during the holiday season and Staff Appreciation Week.
