Staff Appreciation Week 2018 is taking us back in time to the age of big hair and shoulder pads. From May 15 through 18, we’ll celebrate staff and their contributions to the University of California’s newest campus ’80s-style. Events and activities for Professional Staff included in details below.
We appreciate staff all year long and during the annual Staff Appreciation Week, we are especially stoked to the max to make all staff feel rad. See the list below of totally awesome activities. Be there or be square.
All activities are free of charge. If you see a $0.00 commerce item related to an activity or event, it is to assist us with registration limits.
Please bring your CatCard to all activities.
T-Shirt Pickup Information
T-shirts can be picked up in Lantern on Monday, May 14th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and Tuesday, May 15th during Staff Breakfast in KL 355.

Tour Information
Tours fill up quickly. If you reserve a space for any tour, arrive early; your space may be given to a “stand-by” participant at the tour start time. If you can’t make it, please notify Melanie Cooper ahead of time at mcooper4@ucmerced.edu.
Those who are interested in tours that are full can show up as “stand by” participants and take the spaces of those who don’t arrive by the meeting time.
Parking Information
Parking will be relaxed in Bellevue Lot only from May 15th through May 18th, 2018.
We encourage Staff to carpool.
80's Week Bash Office Decorating Contest Guidelines

Staff Assembly invites all Staff members and departments to have fun and bring out any memories from the 80’s starting 5/15/18 through 5/17/18. Perfect time to reflect how far we have come as individuals and what the future holds for UC Merced. Dress up your department with your favorite décor for a chance to win. Voting will take place online and winner will be announced during the Staff Appreciation Picnic.

To enter a drawing for prizes and show your UCM trivia prowess, complete any 15 of the 25 tasks below. You get no bonus points for extra answers, so choose wisely! (If you answer more than 15, only the first 15 will be checked.)
Winning:
All winning participants will be entered into a drawing for totally awesome prizes during the Staff Picnic on Friday. You do not need not be present to win! Because it takes more effort for a single person to turn in 15 correct answers than for a team to do so, “tickets” for the drawing will be distributed thusly:
- Winning team of 3 or more – each team member gets 1 ticket
- Winning team of 2 – each person gets 2 tickets
- Winning team of 1 – individual gets 3 tickets
