Provide a brief history of your work experience, beginning with your present position:

I'm currently the Grants Manager in the School of Natural Sciences since 2012. I was first hired in 2005 as a temporary receptionist in Admin. Operations. Over the years I have worked my way up in the Institution, even spending 2 years at UC Berkeley before returning to UC Merced.

List any UC, committee, community service, or other major volunteer commitments, including the name of the organization and your role (especially leadership roles) therein:

I haven't had the chance to get myself involved with committees or other commitments since I have a long commute and currently in school part-time, but I'd like to start now.

In the past year, how have you played an active role in Staff Assembly? This can include committee work, participating in events, or attendance at Executive Board meetings:

I did run for Financial Officer, but wasn't elected. Then I had lower back surgery and was out on disability for 3 months, so I wasn't as active as I wanted to be.

If you are selected to fill this role, what do you feel would be your contribution to the University of California, Merced, staff, and the Executive Board? How have your past experiences given you the knowledge and skills to provide this contribution?

I truly enjoy being a part of events, even if it's just giving suggestions. But my true passion is putting the logistics of events together. I'm very organized and detail-oriented so I'm able to keep something that's very fluid together and complete. I love working with others and I believe in collaboration and team-building. I would love to bring my ideas to the table and be a part of something big at UCM.
