Provide a brief history of your work experience, beginning with your present position

Currently the Executive Event Coordinator & University House Manager for the Office of the Chancellor. I plan a variety of events on behalf of Chancellor Leland: Commencement, UC Merced Toy Drive, Regent meetings, etc. I also work with the Alumni Relations and their Student Alumni Association. In addition, I serve as the Vice President of the Alumni Campus Employee Chapter, which has over 100 members. As a student I also worked for the Office of Student Life, coordinating events for over 100 organizations.

This last year I helped co-chair POE with Kim. I am also the Vice President of the Alumni Campus Employee chapter.

In the past year, how have you played an active role in Staff Assembly? This can include committee work, participating in events, or attendance at Executive Board meetings:

Working in conjunction with Kim, I have helped with the CUCSA visit, Staff Appreciation Week, the Toy Drive, NPS events and have attended monthly meetings.

If you are selected to fill this role, what do you feel would be your contribution to the University of California, Merced, staff, and the Executive Board? How have your past experiences given you the knowledge and skills to provide this contribution

For this upcoming year, I would like to make our events more streamline and visible to the off campus locations. I would like to work with the communications chair to help brand our events. I believe with the amount of millennials on campus, we need to have a more active brand on all social media. In addition, I think I would be a valuable voice to the executive board because I am an alumnus of UC Merced and truly care about the interest and values of staff members.
