Game Guidelines
This year UC Merced has an exciting opportunity to bring popular gameshow Merced Feud to our campus as the Staff Appreciation Week game! This is sponsored by Staff Assembly and the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost. However, before your team can advance to play in a live round of Merced Feud – hosted by the Merced Playhouse – you must score in the top 8 in a preliminary quiz.
Individual/Team sign ups
Teams should include 5 professional staff members. There will be an option to sign up as an individual and be placed on a team if a team is available. Please note the information below will be required at sign up.
- Team Name
- List of 5 players – one will need to be Team Lead or if signing up as an individual please list your name
- You are welcome to sign up a team with less than 5 but please note, Staff Assembly will assign any individual sign up to teams so that all teams are 5 players.
Preliminary Quiz
- 20 questions total (list of categories below)

- UC History
- Sports
- History
- Science
- Team Lead will receive the quiz link at 10:00 AM on Tuesday May 21st. The link will be live from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
- Only quiz submissions 30 minutes or less will be eligible to advance. Please note, once you open the quiz you are required to complete it and submit to be eligible for consideration for Thursday’s Merced Feud.
- Although it is not required, it is suggested the team lead coordinate all team members to be in a central location to take the quiz together.
- The 8 teams with the highest score/fastest time will advance to Merced Feud on Thursday, May 23rd. The winning teams will be notified by 9 AM on Wednesday May 22nd as well as announced at the Chancellor’s Annual Picnic.
