Provide a brief history of your work experience, beginning with your present position

I am currently the grants manager in the School of Natural Sciences overseeing extramural funding totaling near $30mil and 75 faculty. I assist them with starting proposals in Cayuse, proposal budgets, projections of their active awards. Also, overseeing what is allowable/unallowable on their awards. In my past positions for the UC I worked a purchasing analyst in the School of Enginnering, Admissions, and for Operations.

List any UC, committee, community service, or other major volunteer commitments, including the name of the organization and your role (especially leadership roles) therein:

To be honest, I haven't made the time to volunteer due to my busy schedule. I commute 1.5 hours daily to and from work, plus I'm in school part-time.

In the past year, how have you played an active role in Staff Assembly? This can include committee work, participating in events, or attendance at Executive Board meetings:

I haven't been very active in Staff Assembly due to not receiving announcements. I end up knowing about it after it happens.

If you are selected to fill this role, what do you feel would be your contribution to the University of California, Merced, staff, and the Executive Board? How have your past experiences given you the knowledge and skills to provide this contribution

I believe I would contribute a breath of fresh air. I think we need new people with new visions to be on this committee. I've been with the UC quite awhile and I want to see change for the better. I am committed to the UC and I'd hope the UC is committed to me.
