Staff Assembly to Rotate Meeting Locations

August 27, 2015

UC Merced Staff Assembly is taking its monthly meetings on the road in 2015-16.

The group’s executive board meets from noon to 2 p.m. on the third Friday of each month, and meetings have been routinely held on campus in the Chancellor’s Conference Room (KL 232). But this year, President Pam Taylor said, meetings will rotate between the main campus and its satellite locations at the Promenade, the Mondo Building and Castle Commerce Center.

The next meeting, Sept. 18, will be in the Mondo Building's Granite Room. In October, the meeting will take place at Castle, in the Redwood Room. The 2015-16 meeting schedule is posted on the Staff Assembly website.

Staff Assembly leadership hopes that bringing meetings to UC Merced’s off-campus sites will encourage staff members at those locations to participate and help create a positive work-life experience.

Officially recognized by the Office of the Chancellor as an independent advisory body to campus administration, UC Merced Staff Assembly is dedicated to promoting the interests and well-being of all staff members.
