Special Election for President 2014 - 2015
Regretfully, our 2014 - 2015 incoming President, Joe Wilensky, has tendered his resignation effective June 30, 2014 and will be leaving UC Merced on July 3, 2014. Please join me in thanking him for his many contributions as Vice President of UC Merced Staff Assembly in 2013 -2014.
Joe’s departure will create a vacancy for the position of President. UC Merced Staff Assembly By-Laws state that “vacancies shall be filled by a special election if 12 months or more of the term remains.” As such, we are holding a special election for the position of President for 2014-2015. The eligibility requirements and duties of the President can be found on the Staff Assembly website.

The names of candidates will be presented to membership on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Electronic votes will be accepted July 1 through July 7 at 5:00 p.m.
UC Merced’s Staff Assembly continues to build upon the successes of the previous year. I encourage you to consider running for this position. We are only able to accomplish our mission through the service of our members.
