Staff Assembly Executive Board Officer Nominations

Elections for the 2013–2014 UC Merced Staff Assembly Executive Board are fast approaching and we want YOU to consider becoming part of the leadership team.

A brief summary of the duties required for each position can be found in the bylaws here. Board positions up for election are: 

  • Vice President
  • Finance Officer Elect
  • Secretary
  • Chair for Communications
  • Chair for Programs, Events & Outreach

Nominations must be submitted no later than Friday, May 3, 2013 at 5:00 PM. Positions run from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.

The slate of candidates will be presented to membership the week of May 15th. Electronic votes will be accepted through Wednesday, May 17.  Candidates are encouraged to attend the Friday, May 17 General Meeting where paper ballots will also be accepted. More information about the election process can be found by reviewing our bylaws.

 

Each year, UC Merced’s Staff Assembly continues to build upon the successes of the previous year.  So many of you have been integral components of the accomplishments we have made thus far, and I would strongly urge you to consider joining the Executive Board for the upcoming year. We are only able to accomplish our mission through the service of our members and, on behalf of the entire board, we tip our hats to all the efforts each of you has contributed this past year.
