Staff Advisors to the Regents Visit

December 11, 2013

We are pleased to announce a visit from our University of California Staff Advisors to the Regents.

Initially introduced in January 2005 under a Presidential pilot program, the positions of Staff Advisor were made permanent by the Board of Regents on January 18, 2007. The Staff Advisors are selected from all staff and non-Senate academic employees and are appointed by the President in consultation with the Chairman of the Board. Serving as non-voting advisors to designated Regents' committees, the Staff Advisors have direct input into the Board's deliberations and decisions.

The purpose of their visit is to both let staff and other interested stakeholders know what items of staff interest they are seeing at the Regents' meetings, and for them to hear from staff what is happening on our campus and how they can best represent staff views to the Regents and leadership at Office of the President.

Kathy Barton (kathy_barton_biography.docx) and Donna Coyne (donna_coyne_biography.docxwill visit our campus on Wednesday, December 11th.  The Staff Assembly Executive Board invites you to attend a meeting with the Staff Advisors from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Willow Conference Room in the Classroom and Office Building (COB 322)

We hope to see you there.

Best regards,

UCM Staff Assembly
